Was a very well known Kashmiri Pandit poet who wrote actively in Urdu, Kashmiri. He was well known for his strong believe in communal harmony between the Muslims and Hindus of Kashmir. He was a scholar of Russian and Persian language. He was deeply religious and had kept a copy of the Holy Quoran in his place of worship. He was greatly inspired by Shreemad Bhagwat Geeta. He believed that his muslim neighbours would support him, due to which didn't left Kashmir even in the 1990 genocide. He suffered the same fate as every Kashmiri pandit and was killed brutally along with his newly married son.His mutilated body was found 2 days later hanging from a tree with eyes gouged, limbs and joints broken, janeu missing, cigarette marks on body, nails drilled on forehead, front hairs ripped. He is also known for translation of Shree Bhagwat Geeta and Ramayana into Koshur.
